A Northern Adventure, included in Jack London's compilation titled Son of the Wolf published in 1900, is the story of a difficult and transformative journey full of difficult obstacles, reminiscent of Homer's Odyssey. Naass, the chieftain living in Akatan on the Aleutian islands, lost his wife Unga on the day he got married. He loses it to a blonde-haired white man who comes out of the sea. This man, who resembles a giant with a height of more than two meters and whom the gods molded by taking the men of the early periods of the world as an example, not only shot Unga on his back, but also jumped on his ship and got zak from there.
