Détails du produit
- The third volume in the New York Times best-selling Cradle series! Lindon has a year left. When his time runs out, he’ll have to fight an opponent that no one believes he can beat. Unless he learns the magic of the sacred arts the right way, from scratch, he won’t have a chance to win…and even then, the odds are against him. In the course of their training, Lindon and Yerin travel to the Blackflame Empire, where they struggle to master an ancient power. Success means a chance at life, but failure means death. In the sacred arts, only those who risk the most can travel far. SERIES DESCRIPTION The Cradle series is the best-selling example of the Progression Fantasy subgenre, which includes works of fantasy where the primary plot revolves around a character growing more powerful in their use of magic. Cradle is high-stakes, fast-paced, and action-focused, with minimal time dedicated to world-building, and as such the books are lean and focused. The series is often compared to anime, with fans using phrases like “anime in book form” or “fantasy novels meet Dragon Ball Z,” emphasizing the story’s specialty of loud and colorful super-powered battles.

Paranormal Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of "Blackflame" by Will Wight** "Blackflame," the third installment in Will Wight's acclaimed Cradle series, has captured the imaginations of readers with its unique blend of eastern and western storytelling. Wight's skill as a storyteller shines through as he deepens the lore and reveals more about the vibrant, intricate world of Iteration 110 Cradle. Readers are drawn into the journey alongside the protagonist, Lindon, whose continued struggles and growth resonate emotionally, making his character feel relatable despite the fantastical elements of the setting. One of the standout aspects of "Blackflame" is its detailed world-building. Wight manages to convey a complex magical system and richly developed universe without overwhelming the reader. The pacing of the narrative is brisk, keeping the momentum alive throughout, which is often a refreshing change from slower fantasy tales. Characters such as Yerin and Eithan are fleshed out beautifully, and readers will find themselves invested in their arcs as much as Lindon's. The introduction of a multifaceted antagonist, Jai Long, adds further intrigue and nuance to the plot. Despite its many strengths, some readers noted that "Blackflame" feels less like a standalone novel and more like a component of a larger saga. Threads and mysteries initiated in this book remain unresolved, which can lead to a sense of dissatisfaction for those who prefer self-contained narratives. This feeling, however, is somewhat mitigated by Wight's engaging writing style and character development, which continues to draw readers back. For fans of hopeful fantasy steeped in action, complex character dynamics, and a thoughtfully Constructed setting, "Blackflame" promises a gripping read. Wight's effortless storytelling and commitment to character depth ensure that even newcomers to the Cradle series will enjoy the experience, solidifying the book’s status as a noteworthy entry in modern fantasy literature. **
