Is the soft footbed hard in the arch area?
répondre: After a couple of months wearing my second pair of these the arch area remains supple and depresses two or three millimeters to a firm fingerpress. The upper arch is progressively firmer the higher you go from the actual footbed. I would rate arch support as medium, becoming more comfortable with use. -

Are the 8 size a 39?
répondre: Yes. 8 to 8-1/2 -

Size chart?
répondre: A European size 39 converts to a US women's size 8 (or a US men's size 6). However, Birkenstocks run big compared to most other European shoe brands. With that being said, most people down size in Birkenstocks. For example, if I was a US women's 8, I would order a size 38 in Birkenstocks and a 39 in almost every other European brand.
