The device comes with instructions that explain how to tell if the Tamagotchi is hungry, happy/bored, sick, and need discipline. The buttons will let you choose different options to feed the Tamagotchi, play with it, and give medicine. Customer reviews have been mixed, with some customers enjoying the nostalgic experience of the toy and others disliking the Constant attention it requires. One customer noted that the Amazon exclusive variant does not get older than 8 days. Another customer reported that their device did not have any sound and was disappointed. One customer found the buttons to be hard to use and their daughter was upset that it didn't work correctly. Another customer found the toy to be annoying and gave it away after three days.
