Dungeons & Dragons: Temple of Elemental Evil provides a simplified and easy way to introduce newcomers to the world of D&D. It's a great game to play with no DM and comes with many unpainted minis that can be used for regular sessions. The tiles are great for creating a random map and letting players explore. While players will have to read the rules carefully, once they do, gameplay is fairly straightforward. The included figures are highly-detailed and durable, both for player figures and monsters. The game is not easy and may be tough to win, particularly if it isn't your day to roll good attack numbers. With excellent game aids and a ton of minis, though, the game is a great value and an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys adventure or fantasy tabletop games.
