Will these slides work with any microscope? We got our son a die-cast microscope set for Christmas and just wanted to include some more slides with it.
répondre: Yes, but set lower expectations. This little kit is great for beginners and will fit with just about any standard-ish viewing stage. The slides are plastic and full of artifacts/micro bubbles. You're not going to get better than about 600x before it's a problem. It is a good starter kit for learning about the very basics and simple slide prep, but you might consider supplementing with a premade slide set to demonstrate what actual results should look like. The seaMonkeys are fun, but the magnified container will not fit under a scope. You should find some depressed slides (ones with a little dip for a drop of water) to view live hatchlings. Sadly, a 5-pack is like 10 bucks, but you will enjoy a lot more viewings at high magnification of many more kid-friendly things with those types of slides. Good luck! -

It comes with a lot of supplies to create your own slides, from slides to labels. It does not, however, come with a box to store your slides in after use. It is important to note that a separate microscope is needed to use the slides created with the kit. This kit will work with most standard microscopes, but the slides are plastic and full of artifacts/micro bubbles, so a higher magnification may not produce the expected result. The seaMonkeys provided are best viewed with a magnified container and not under a microscope. It would be wise to supplement this kit with a pre-made slide set to demonstrate what actual results should look like.
