The GEDORE OX 355-0700 Curved Adze is a well-built tool that does not come with a handle. It is made from good quality steel, although it requires sharpening. This adze is heavy enough for long handle and big swing adze work. It can be fitted with a hickory handle from supplycache.com or other vintage adze tools. However, the handles are sold separately and can be difficult to find. Some improvisation may be required to fit a handle, and it is recommended to purchase a proper handle when available. The adze head is solidly built but does not come with a cutting edge, requiring approximately 30 minutes to an hour of sharpening and fitting.
