How does the Baseline 12-1060 gauge work?

The Baseline 12-1060 Functional Finger Motion Gauge employs a system of calibrated scales and a sliding mechanism to measure the degrees of motion in each finger joint. Users position the gauge according to the desired measurement angle, allowing for quick and easy readings. This simple operation facilitates consistent monitoring of a patient's progress over time, making it an essential tool for both therapists and patients to visualize improvements.

Is the Baseline 12-1060 Functional Finger Motion Gauge suitable for home use?

Yes, while primarily used in clinical settings, the Baseline 12-1060 gauge is also suitable for home use, especially for individuals undergoing rehabilitation after finger-related injuries. Its compact and user-friendly design enables patients to easily monitor their own progress between therapy sessions, allowing for self-assessment and motivation as they work towards regaining full finger function.

What materials is the Baseline 12-1060 made from?

The Baseline 12-1060 Functional Finger Motion Gauge is constructed from high-quality, durable plastic that ensures longevity and accurate measurements. Can the Baseline Finger Motion Gauge be calibrated?

The Baseline 12-1060 Functional Finger Motion Gauge is designed to be user-friendly and does not typically require calibration, as the measuring scales are pre-calibrated at the factory. However, users should regularly check for any signs of wear or damage that may affect measurement accuracy. Maintaining it in good condition ensures it remains a reliable tool for assessing finger motion consistently.

What are the key features of the Baseline 12-1060?

The Baseline 12-1060 features a calibrated scale with a sliding mechanism for accuracy, a lightweight design for ease of use, and an ergonomic grip that facilitates measurement without strain. One of its standout features is the ability to measure flexion and extension in a variety of finger joints, making it versatile for different assessment needs. These features collectively enhance the usability of the gauge for both clinicians and patients.

A good practice is to hold the finger steady while taking measurements, ensuring that readings are consistent and accurate. Proper technique not only helps in obtaining precise measurements but also aids in effective rehabilitation planning.

Is the Baseline 12-1060 easy to clean and maintain?

Yes, the Baseline 12-1060 Functional Finger Motion Gauge is easy to clean, as it can be wiped down with a disinfectant cloth or solution. Nutritionist's Take

The Baseline 12-1060 Functional Finger Motion Gauge is primarily a tool for assessing hand functionality and strength rather than a nutritional product. Nutritionists emphasize the importance of physical activity and in this context, the gauge can aid in rehabilitation and strength training, supporting overall health. However, it does not provide nutritional benefits or health claims related to diet. There are no ingredients to consider, but its utility lies in improving hand dexterity and mobility, especially for individuals recovering from injuries. While it can be beneficial for therapeutic purposes, it should not replace the need for a balanced diet. For those with specific dietary needs or restrictions, this product may not be directly relevant. Overall, it is a valuable tool for physical therapy and exercise, but not a nutritional choice.
