The stone holder in the picture is adjustable and can hold any stone from 6 to 9 inches long, and it comes with the sharpening stone. It is recommended to use a recommended solvent lubricant than water when using the stone. The 300/1200 combo stone is not marked, so the Consumer would have to stamp their name on the metal plate to distinguish between the two sides. Customers felt the product was excellent for sharpening woodworking chisels and hard steels on chef knives because of the ultra-flat surface the stone provides. It does not wear grooves like a traditional stone. Reviewers are also impressed with the value of this product. However, some customers felt that it is not suitable for flattening ceramic stones. Additionally, one reviewer preferred the more expensive Atoma line of stones over the Ultra Sharp.
