The flat bottom of the beaker is 5" in diameter, and the top orifice is a little over 1.5". The most narrow point of the flask measures 44.24mm. The beaker is suitable for making yeast starters and culturing small amounts of Phyto. The genuine German-made Pyrex is said to be made well and should last forever. However, there have been some complaints about the stopper and some customers have reported missing stoppers in their orders. One customer reported the product broke with first-hand washing.
